MICHAEL QUINN, M.D.
Dr. Michael Quinn joined Bloomfield Hand Specialists in 2004 and has practiced hand and upper extremity surgery since that time. Dr. Quinn earned his medical degree from Wayne State University in 1998 and then completed an Orthopaedic Surgery residency at William Beaumont Hospital in 2003. He then completed a fellowship in Hand Surgery at the Thomas Jefferson University/ Philadelphia Hand center program. He is Board-Certified in orthopedic surgery and possesses a Certificate of Additional Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand.
Dr. Quinn combines both time-tested and state-of-the-art care in a way that emphasizes the patient’s goals and takes time to understand the individual patient. He strives to listen to, and hear, what patients are saying, understand their condition, clarify the available treatment options, and then individualize treatment to the specific patient. While surgery may be an option, Dr. Quinn recognizes the value and importance of non-surgical treatment options as well.
Dr. Quinn has staff privileges and provides care for Emergencies, in-patient consults, and surgeries at hospitals including William Beaumont Hospital – Troy, Crittenton Medical Center, Genesys Medical Center, and St. Joseph Hospital – Pontiac. Most surgeries can be performed on an outpatient basis and Dr. Quinn performs surgery at surgical centers including Orthopaedic Surgical Institute (OSI), Clarkston Surgical Center, Una-Source Surgery Center, Surgery Center at Health Park (Genesys), and The Alice Gustafson Surgery Center.
