MICHAEL QUINN, M.D.

Board CertifiedDr. Michael Quinn joined Bloomfield Hand Specialists in 2004 and has practiced hand and upper extremity surgery since that time. Dr. Quinn earned his medical degree from Wayne State University in 1998 and then completed an Orthopaedic Surgery residency at William Beaumont Hospital in 2003. He then completed a fellowship in Hand Surgery at the Thomas Jefferson University/ Philadelphia Hand center program. He is Board-Certified in orthopedic surgery and possesses a Certificate of Additional Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand.

Dr. Quinn combines both time-tested and state-of-the-art care in a way that emphasizes the patient’s goals and takes time to understand the individual patient. He strives to listen to, and hear, what patients are saying, understand their condition, clarify the available treatment options, and then individualize treatment to the specific patient. While surgery may be an option, Dr. Quinn recognizes the value and importance of non-surgical treatment options as well.

Dr. Quinn has staff privileges at a number of hospitals in the area including William Beaumont Hospital – Troy,  Ascension Crittenton, Saint Joseph HospitaL – Pontiac, and Genesys Medical Center. He performs the majority of his surgeries on an outpatient basis at the Orthopedic Surgical Institute in Rochester Hills where he also serves as Medical Director.
